Because of zee cost of outfitting an army is ficking huge, vee must get new iron into zee system so as to reduce zee price. In order to accomplish zis, I vould like zis act to be passed as soon as possible, else vee might run out of money. Zerefore:
The Iron survey act:
1. that surveyors begin searching through the mountains for Iron deposits, copper deposits, tin deposits, gold deposits, coal, and silver deposits, plus anything else of interest (exotic materials such as marble, for statues to attract tourists).
2. that they be provisioned for the season required, with a budget of 17 gold for horse, wagon, maps, parchment, paper, and anything else within reason they require.
3. that the survey team number in approximately the thirties, according to the needs of the men.
4. that, once they are done surveying mining opportunities, they stake out road routes to be addressed in another bill.

I hereby request, out of character, that Jeremy and all others to drop all accents in type. It's okay to have audible cues, like huh at the end of every message or something, but stuff like this makes it really hard to follow.

Not a bill, just please write in plain english. Sorry Jeremy.

The Holy Horny Truth and Reconciliation Act:

1. That the Horny God's faithful chosen servant, the Archbishop of Goatism, may issue Religious Edicts as to the interior organization of the church and its activities, limited only by the veto of a specific minister of its property. These edicts will be uncontested, and be treated as the holy wishes of the Capricorn God.

2. That the Holy Order of the Knights of Capricorn may relinquish the rights and freedoms of a specific individual who may be found to be heretical and traitorous to the crown and church without habeas corpus. These individuals will be detained in special pens of the goats, found in the Capricave near the southern Ocean Sea. The measures used by the Holy Order shall not be revealed to anyone save those part of the Holy Order and the Archbishop, who will report the words and intentions of the specific people when asked. These individuals will be subject to pain and unethical treatments in the intent to safeguard the Crown and Church, and to root out Heretic and Traitors.

May the Holy Horny God watch over our flocks.

In the little town of Homefront came a stranger one fine day
Didn't talk to those around him, and he hates the month of may
He was cold and dark and livid, and he wanted to be sure
That he robbed the people plainly with the pistol that he wore

Then the RCMP ranger who was stationed there arose
He got up on his psychic horse and then the stranger froze
The horse it neighed and galloped and the stranger hit the floor
for the ranger's horse was deadly and had beaten him before

Beaten hi

An expedition just such as you describe is already planned and will be carried out privately, by a number of Great Houses in cooperation.

I would then request the term 'minerals' be replaced by those I have mentioned from that bill in question. otherwise it may be too vague for the surveyors to understand. also: that expedition may well be ruinously expensive, for both our houses, as no others have signed on, to my knowledge. so, other houses, I suggest you actually note whether or not you're actually signing on for the survey or not.

In any event, I would then propose the following bill so we can actually extract the materials efficiently, and also put the stone to good use.
Transportation and road-planning bill:
1. That another surveying team be granted copies of maps garnered from the resource acquisition bill, and use them to mark possible areas which may provide for good use of ferries, and roadways to them, to ease the extraction of the resources.
2. that they be provisioned for the season required, with a budget of 17 gold for horse, wagon, maps, parchment, paper, and anything else within reason they require. (this was the approximate cost of the mining bill, and it stands to reason it will cost about the same for a similar expedition)
3. that the survey team number in approximately the thirties, according to the needs of the men.
4. that, once they are done surveying ferry opportunities, they stake out overland-road routes to the mines. They will be useful during the winter, when the rivers freeze over.

LATEST RUMORS AND GOSSIPS OF THE KINGDOM

-The Brick Act has taken up the forefront of the public's attention. The construction of the great bricks has already attracted a daily crowd.

-The Red Marmot strikes again! This time, he has stolen directly from the Royal Engineers, making off with the Engineers' survey reports. Curiously enough, the Red Marmot has not taken any money.

-The flooding has ceased, and nobody apparently has died as a result of the floods.

-The season has shifted towards Summer properly.

-Rumors are circulating the capital that a certain individual in the criminal underground is some sort of expert on arcane lore. Reports vary, with some accrediting him with supernatural powers, while other sources state that he merely has incredible eyebrows.

-An outbreak of Frog Flu has occurred in the Capital. Wisemen has blamed the witches for the incident.

-The Entertainers and Jesters have returned to work, apparently cowed by the 'negotiators' sent by an unnamed authority.

-Crime has apparently gone down, as the slums of many eastern cities emptied their inhabitants into the plains.

I would like to remind Lord Doume that if he has issue with a bill it he should state it here not amend it to his vote on the board of Bills. As it stands I do not see how giving foreign affairs agents the ability to arrest those who break the law some how supersedes the civic security minister or this council.

Now on to other topics I believe that it would be advantageous to create a northern outpost as such I present:
Quote
FOREIGN INTELLIGENCE BILL 2

lets pay the 94 silver per year to have an out post on our northern border.

Next order of business, this Red Marmot is clearly some sort of foreign spy and as such we must catch him before he can report to his spy masters. As such I will place a 50 silver bounty on his head for who ever can bring him to me alive.

"His Lordship would like to remind the council that by allowing the Ministry for Foreign Intelligence a private force of armed men to operate freely with legal authority within and without the kingdom, it would effectively have more power than both the Minister for War and the Minister for Civic Security."

"First and foremost it's more accurate to say that my ministry would have a wider range of responsibilities rather then more power as the Minster for Civic Security and Minister for War both control far more men then my ministry. Secondly the agents of my ministry are to be trained for stealth and investigation, armed thugs would hardly be subtle enough to gain information from Easteria without arousing suspicion. Finally the majority of my agents would be abroad gathering information with those who remain being mostly for administrative purposes."

"The Count of Doume asks then, if your agents at home are to be "administrators", why they would have the power to arrest the people of Westeria (and peasants) and a whim?"

Agreed. If the agents of the Ministry of Foreign Intelligence wish to make an arrest, they should seek the assistance of the agents of Civil Security or, in particularly intense cases, the Combined Armies.

"My agents need that authority in case they discover a foreign spy ring operating in Westaria and can deal with it without having to wait for this council to make a new act to deal with it; allowing the foreign spy's to escape.

Also what does Lord Doume mean by 'and a whim'"

"*in completely different handwriting* The previous scribe meant to say "on a whim". His Lordship has sent my predecessor home for a week to catch up on his sleep and salvage his marriage."

"That being said, why not merely allow certain agents the authority to requisition the personal guards of any local great lord? Or perhaps request that His Majesty attach units of his own personal guard for this purpose, loyal to the King, but still capable of capturing a genuine traitor."
