In this thread we discuss interesting character ideas, whether it be based on a silly build, or built around a silly concept.
Let me start off:

System: Pathfinder
Urban Barbarian + amateur gunslinger = STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON
The controlled rage gives bonus to dex, thereby making this somewhat viable as well.

System: 3.5
Cleric + Artificer = ALLAHU AKBAR! *BOOM!*
Cat's Grace + Evasion, + Crafted amulets of Fireball = Suicide Bomber with a chance of surviving.

Straight from /tg/

>be eldritch tentacled amorphous entity from beginning of world
>lurk in the depths of a cave network after the great wars of your brethren across the universe
>cave network is under a coastal area
>after a few million years, humans arrive
>awaken in civilized times
>send out conciousness to see how the world is changed
>a little girl is playing
>she's having so much fucking fun
>transform into little boy/girl, go play with her
>have lots of fucking fun
>pretend to be human and stop being boring eldritch blob
>other amorphous deities come to recruit you for universal wars
>tell them to fuck off, you're eating cake and having fun
>you eventually grow up, become PC
>transforming into a non-eldritch-god form limits your power level
>you do not reveal you're an eldritch god, they will hunt you down and kill you
>leveling up is "You gain more eldritch god powers back in your current form"
>ultimate bro-tier players - "Yeah, we kinda figured you were an eldritch horror or something. It's cool, we won't judge you."

======

>Lawful Good Necromancer
>Travel the countryside raising the dead and teaching peasantry how to make the dead work for them
>Share any gained wealth with farmers and peasants
>Refuse rewards for quests beyond living needs
>Show peasants how to Conjure Food
>Be The Good Guy
>Bonus - Campaign Boss is bigoted paladin

======

Setting idea - Massive convention the size of a city that never ends. People live and work there, in varying states of costume, different parts of the city are different fandoms and fetishes (Furries, 40k, D&D, Vidya...)

======

Setting idea - 20th Century Megaquest - Spans multiple campaigns in a techno-magic D&D Setting. There are analogues for Russia, Germany, UK, France, USA, Italy, Japan, China, etc etc.

Campaign 1 is Humble Worker Quest -> Glorious Worker Quest -> Hero of the Worker Quest:

You all meet in a factory, during your 10 minute meal-break on your 14 hour shift. You talk for 10 minutes real-time, then timeskip ahead - On the way home you run into Karl Marx standing on a soapbox in the park giving an impassioned speech on COMMUNISM!, are enamored with the idea, and Bolshevik Revolution Quest commences. The Party Face ends up becoming Stalin. Mixed RP and Combat.

Campaign 2 is World War II Quest:

You all play as an elite commando squad for USA Analogue in WW2. First session is Omaha Beach or Paradropping into Normandy, and progressed from there (Market Garden, Battle of the Bulge, etc.). Final session is fighting Nazi-SuperScienced-MegaHitler. Primarily a combat campaign.

Campaign 3 is Cold War Quest:

You all play as Spies for either Glorious Mother Russia or America/NATO, and your mission is to infiltrate the enemy country and disable their means of nuclear retaliation (, while avoiding detection and capture. Upon completion of the mission (And signaling completion to Home), the party is told to evacuate to the wilderness, and the missiles are launched. Primarily a role-play campaign.

A central theme is continuity (The previous parties either make appearances, or are otherwise still around and kicking ass), as well as maintaining some semblance of alternate history - Marx and Lenin are fixed, but the success of the Red Revolution is not. The allied invasion of Europe is fixed, but victory over the nazis is not.

That's kind of a weird thing to wrap my head around since every character I play and many of the ones in the games I run are silly or over-the-top in some way.

I've always wanted to do something with the tantric mage from the book of erotic fantasy and change the requirements about her bonus spells coming strictly from penetrative sex. I wanted to refluff it so that other fetishes can be used to get the bonus spells so long as the willing participation of another PC or NPC is involved. So one example would be a shit mage who gets bonus spells for being shit on once a day. He would specialize in summoning elementals, but would refluff earth elementals into shit elementals, or possibly make shit golems.

I knew you would Paul. You'd make an excellent Stalin.

Black tokyo sounds interesting and it can be used with d20 modern. It makes me want to run a d20 modern game in the world of grant morrison's the filth:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Filth_%28comics%29

That is the heroes are a hyperdimensional special force sent to arrest or kill sexual super villains who make sex and fetish based weapons of mass destruction (giant flying sperm that impregnate people to death ect.)  But people switch sides and the squad gets disavowed by their organization. Soon it's fuck or be fucked for the fate of the world and possibly other dimensions.

A character who, via use of feats like 'Maximize Spell' and abilities that let you take 10 on almost anything, never rolls a single die.

A half ling that can use food as a diabolical weapon of doom.

The most intense in his books?

In the little town of Homefront came a stranger one fine day
Didn't talk to those around him, and he hates the month of may
He was cold and dark and livid, and he wanted to be sure
That he robbed the people plainly with the pistol that he wore

Then the RCMP ranger who was stationed there arose
He got up on his psychic horse and then the stranger froze
The horse it neighed and galloped and the stranger hit the floor
for the ranger's horse was deadly and had beaten him before
