FLASH! *thunderbolt* AH-AAAAH! SAVIOUR OF THE UNIVERSE!
That's right. One night only, we are showing the 1980s film version of
Flash Gordon. For those of you who haven't heard of this, one of the few good things to come out of the 80s, Flash Gordon is an intentionally cheesy masterpiece, meant to emulate the pulp-era stylings of the original Flash Gordon serials. The soundtrack is by Queen, Prince Vultan is played by BRIAN BLESSED and Max von Sydow plays the evil, vaguely asian Ming the Merciless.
