So we had an epic 4+ hour game of Axis and Allies (Jeremy and Craig as Japan and Germany; Ilya, Ben, and me as Russia, UK, and USA) and I thought I'd post some reflections/regrets/bad advice.

1) If you're America, you shouldn't go to Europe until you secure Japan. You know...like in real life.

2) Take French Indochina before the Japanese take India. Yes, the Japanese took muthaf---ing India the first turn and kept it the whole game @_@

3) U-Boat interdiction+super subs=broken Holy shit.

4) Don't be an idiot and forget about the small force about to take your capital...from the ocean Craig managed to capture Washington for a turn with one tank(!!) and that's how he was able to afford the Battle of MegaultraKurtz to take Moscow and win the game completely,

and last but not least,

5) Russia always bounces back Seriously WTF Ilya.

Protip for the UK, take friggin Africa and stay there forever. Really, one white soldier was there for how long until it got noticed? One soldier? Also everyone should be gunning for India, everyone. It's like in real life.

to be fair, 5 was more or less because I derped around and blew far too much money on heavy bombers. (which I never got) when I could have been getting industrial complexes.

Love.
You can learn all the math in the 'verse.
But you take a boat in the air that you don't love.
She'll shake you off just as sure as the turn of the worlds.
Love keeps her in the air when she ought to fall down.
Tells you she's hurting before she keels.
Makes her a home.
