I think I'll be the merchant. I have a skeleton of a bio/backstory of what I would want to do, so I'll just think of it.

Jesse, will there be guns? More accurately, can I be a Gentleman Noble whose father is the primary investor in this little journey? Because I want to be a gentleman with a dueling pistol and a kobold manservant. Who is also a notmormon.

Predictions: The captain dies somehow, and we, being the officer crew, get the ship and turn this into Pirate Quest.

I say we spearhead a coup in the Elven Empires and take over the world.

Paul: Sure, I suppose you can be an Elf.
Cam: There will be guns. I'll take a closer look at the Pathfinder thing about the varying amount of gunpowder weapon rules, but there will be guns.
Chris: If your availability changes, don't forget to change your votes at the poll.

Workin' up the sheet now then. I'm going to either have a Pistol or a Revolver, depending on what I can make.

The Gentleman:
Sir Charles Emmeret Dapper Montgomery Winchester III

(Shown here without his customary monacle)

"I say. We've got ourselves into quite the pickle this time."

Sir Charles Emmeret Dapper Montgomery Winchester III is the second son of Lord Charles Emmeret Dapper Montgomery Winchester I, the famed firearm developer. Before him, the Winchester family was a lesser-known Noble family that owned the village of Northuppingtonshire and it's surrounding farms. Under the technical genius of Charles Winchester I, the family fortune was doubled, then doubled again as investments into firearms workshops paid off. Among the buyers was the Imperial Army, the Emperor's Royal Guard, and various other Noble families.

Taking a wife of the Hapsburg dynasty, Lord Charles Emmeret Dapper Montgomery Winchester I fathered two children, Charles Emmeret Dapper Montgomery Winchester II (Who is wholly unremarkable) and Sir Charles Emmeret Dapper Montgomery Winchester III. As a child, Charles Emmeret Dapper Montgomery Winchester III read stories about the Screaming Goose and it's  dashingly heroic and gallant Captain Blackthorne and his roguish charms. Maidens were saved, treasured were unburied, pirates were fought, and dragons were slain.

As a youth, Charles Winchester III took a strong interest in the Family Buisness, and was often caught sneaking out to the workshops or the firing range. Some of the latest innovations in firearm design were originally his idea, refined and implemented by his now-middle aged father. Charles showed an aptitude for mathematics and other sciences, and this was encouraged by his father.

Upon reaching the age of 16, Charles III enlisted in the Army and served as an Artillery Officer. At first, he was in command of a single cannon, but later his rank grew, and he found himself the commander of a battery, then an entire regiment of Cannonry. During the Siege of Boatmurdered in the Holistic Wars, he proved instrumental in breaking the Dwarven "Doomsday Machine", codenamed "Project: FUCK THE WORLD" allowing the rest of the army to invade the fortress and bring the mad Emperor Sankis the Beardless to stand trial for his crimes. In recognition of his exploits, Charles III was knighted by His Majesty as Sir Charles Emmeret Dapper Montgomery Winchester III

After the end of the Holistic Wars, Charles retired from the army and lived a quiet life, until hearing news that the hero of his childhood, Captain Blackmoore, was setting sail on The Screaming Goose once again. Tired of the quiet life, and once again pining for fame, glory, and fjords, Sir Charles Emmeret Dapper Montgomery Winchester III invested heavily in this last cruise, and invited himself along.

Winston is an oddity. Taken as an egg from his tribe's native lands and brought to NotBritain, Winston's egg was bought by Charles Emmeret Dapper Montgomery Winchester I for use in what was to be a delicious omelette. Unfortunately, Charles III chose that day to run around in the kitchen pantry, and bore witness to a Kobold hatching. The Kobold imprinted on Charles III, and came to view him as a brother-figure.

So it was that Winston the Kobold and Charles III became the best of friends in their youth. They grew up together, with Charles III masterminding many schemes and carrying them out with Winston. The two were nigh inseperable, and this was only strengthened when Winston took a bullet for Charles in the Battle of Headshoots in the Holistic Wars.

Winston listens to very few people and respects even fewer. Kobolds have a latent dislike of "bigfeet", which is only compounded by the disdain that so-called Bigfeet have for them in return. Winston almost never leaves Sir Charles Winchester III's side, and when he does it's only for a damned good reason.

((I couldn't find Fighter Kobold, so have Operator Kobold instead - This is my Companion Character. If anyone wants to play him, go for it, otherwise I'm just going to have him stand next to me and take shots for me. And be comic relief. Assuming Jesse allows this of course.))

Make his artillery unit "Viscount Tucker's Kobold Horse-Artillery" and we may have something here...

I'm going to wait a good while before slashing names to trim the list down to 6 players.
The process of trimming will be half random, and half handpicking.

Any objections or specific grievances?

Also, clarification: Gunpowder level will be the standard pathfinder set, as in Emerging Guns. Players wishing for guns will need to take gunsmith. Unless the majority of players object, then I can move it to Commonplace Guns instead.

It will also be standard pointbuy, I think Pathfinder uses 15 points, starting at 10 for all stats, and 3.5 DnD uses 28 points, starting at 8 for all stats. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Campos is an ADULTERER and a COMMUNIST! CAMPOS FOR OVERSEER!

No objections, save that if we're going to make this EIC simulator, with powdered wigs and be-queued Imperial officials, commonplace guns would probably fit better.
