Introduction Thread

Hi.
I'm Beth, the ARC's cosplay overlord.
This is going to be a thread for you guys to introduce yourselves to the other cosplay enthusiasts, suggest cosplay ideas, convention events you plan to attend in the future, or projects you have undertaken in the past. General discussion thread, pretty much.
Oh, and post a photo in costume, if you have one!

I also have some photoshoot locations that I have recently scouted. They may look considerably different now since i took the photos in like, spring, but if anyone is interested flag me down and I'll show you them. I'm getting kinda sick keeping all shoots on sfu anyways, and having some nice location shots would help to keep variety in the shoots.

To get the ball rolling...
I've been cosplaying since 2003. I tend to lean towards making video game costumes, way less than anime and manga in any case.  My running thing is cosplaying Persona characters, although I think I'm out of costumes until Persona 5 comes out.  I am determined to get a superhero costume done for Halloween, and I plan on attending Sakura Con in the spring.

Hey dudes and ladies of ARC, I'm Claire!
I'm a second year Photo major from Emily Carr University, and I've been into cosplay for a while. I've been going to Anime Evolution since 2004ish, and I'm a bit of a video game nerd, so I love cosplaying from video games. (Pageant!Teddie at AE 2009, Estelle Sidos Heurassein at Sakuracon 2010 and Estelle again at Anime Evolution 2010"). I'll be doing Polka from Eternal Sonata for Sakuracon 2011 as well.

I will be fairly busy for most of the year, but you will probably see at a couple of bigger ARC events. I am willing to do some cosplay photography as well, film or digital.

I'm not big into cosplay, but being from an hour away from Toronto, my friends that are made me dress up for FanExpo....so in one seven hour sitting, with nothing but fun foam, chemical bottles, and tape, I made a HEV suit and went as Gordon Freeman.

I am Sandy~been into cosplay since...um.......05-ish(?)
But didn't start making my own customes since recently~
I am a big fan not of video games (as many people here do) but of animes

I am not attending convention events~mostly what I do is private shots with one of my friends~
recently, I am making singer yuna and lenne customes and rin and len kagamine costumes for my friend and myself

Hey there, I'm Nat and new to cosplay, although I have friends who participate. I think I could pull off an Air Master quite easily with my short red hair and martial arts skills. I also want to try being Gaara from Naruto.

There was a meeting this morning for Cosplay? Sorry I couldn't attend, I have hockey practice till 9:30 out at SFU surrey campus and just barely make it to school in time for my 11:30 class.

Hello! Yes there was a meeting today, but the turnout was small (most likely because of short notice), so you didn't miss too much. We mostly introduced ourselves and discussed what things we will be doing this semester. But we'll be having another meeting on Friday Sept. 30th, at 12:30 in the rotunda, so hopefully you can make it then .
