Everyday I'm shufflin'

This is going to sound really sudden, so please bear with me.

Due to personal circumstances, I've enlisted myself in the Canadian Forces and I'm leaving for Basic training  at the Canadian Forces base in Quebec. As a result, I'll be unable to continue being the vice-president of the club and consequently can no longer be a part of the ARC.

I apologize for not being able to go to the ARC sleepover and any future club events. I'm also sorry that I did not tell anyone about my abrupt leave sooner, but as I've mentioned earlier it's been difficult for me due to personal reasons. There won't be any time for farewell parties because I could be on a flight as soon as Tuesday if everything were to go to plan.

I've done everything I could for the club so things should run smoothly for the end of semester party. My friend Himmy Choy has expressed interest in taking over the position of vice-president for fall semester. I have full trust in his ability to lead the club in my stead, so I ask that you all please give him your full support by voting for him in the next ARC elections.

Thank you all for putting up with me for the past year. To those of you who knew me as a quiet stoical individual, I want you to know that I really loved spending my time here with all of you. Well, almost all of you since there are a few exceptions. You know who you are.

Farewell!

I'm sorry to see you go Sam, even though I've only known you for about a year, you've become a friend that I've learned to trust and rely on. You were a good VP and a good friend. Losing you will be a blow to both the club and all of us in it.

That being said, good luck at CFB Valcartier and I hope that after your enlistment is up (and you are  flush with shiny government money) that you come back to SFU.

Sam, you have done a damned fine job as VP and we are sorry to see you go. We will still be here when you return. Best of luck with training, try to keep in touch.

May you become a fine warrior and inspire terror in the hearts of your enemies!

Or something like that.

/21-gun salute.

My respect for the decision, whatever the reasons may be. You've made a fine VP, and I've been glad to know you Sam. Training is going to kick your ass, then take you out back, beat you up a bit, and once you fall asleep, wake you up and beat you some more. Not to discourage you or anything.  I have nothing but the utmost confidence in you, and I know you'll handle it just fine.

Being unsure what trade you're enlisting in, I can't really offer you any advice or suggestions. Nonetheless, work hard, don't be afraid to laugh, and come back here when you can champ. If my time playing TLR with you (lol) has taught me anything it's that you're a fantastic leader, a smart person, and one determined sunuvabitch. Don't let anyone take that away from you. Go kick some ass and chew some gum, but don't forget your gum.

There will always be a spot waiting for you right here.

Sam, I know we didn't always get along, and were never on good terms with each other, but I just want to say that the club will be worse off without you. I'll miss you.

Oh, and by the way, try not to get shot up too badly. Hopefully I know you'll end up as Master Sgt. Samuel Kim, Professional Badass, rather than The Late Samuel Kim, so try and remember to thank all your friends at SFU when you get all those medals.

Seriously though, Good Luck.

Sam, I KNOW as a fact that you don't like me all that much, and for all the wrong reason. For making you embarrassed and annoyed, I formally apologize. So from here on out, know that this is sincere at least. No seriously, don't read the spoiler if your not Sam.
Spoiler for ???:
I don't like you very much,we never got along, and we'll never be friends if this continues. Don't stop reading, I've got my reasons here. We are too different. I am a very radically different person, what if you being a more polite and calculating person, and me being made out of stupid choices. Also, the barrier that kinda formed from that never really went away, so it's really hard for me to say anything about you. I'm sure you've got your reasons, but here's mine.

However, know that your work will not go on without notice. You've got my deepest respect, and the brief time you've been here have been good. Whenever you get to come back, be sure to call everyone of us up, either to shoot shit or otherwise.

Blah, anyone good one is gone. This club is slightly worst again.

Woah. It's like that cliff hanger episode at the end of a season. Sam, this can be a good opportunity for you. It's going to be a lot harder than the surrey trek, so be prepared. I'll tell my terrorist friends not to put bombs on your route.

Don't worry, I'll tell my terrorist friends to put Extra Bombs on your route. I jest. I have no terrorist friends. Unless Tarek counts.

wow.... good luck on being in the army. This is sudden indeed but i am sure that with your sense of justice you would make a great soldier, marine, or what ever forces you are in. Dont worry about being stoic, you are stoic in a way that it was pleasant. too bad I couldn't have hang out with you more often due to the fact that I am In the Surrey Campus
