As you probably should know, we are holding a
Summer Festival on the 16th of July. This is probably going to be the biggest event we've done in a long time, and we're all working as hard as we can to make it the best frakking ARC summer festival possible. With that in mind, we've come up with a list of events which we'll be running. The problem is, we won't be able to run them all, seeing as there's at most, a dozen of us on the planning committee. I've run the rough numbers, and it looks like we'll needing
volunteers to work three shifts working from around noon to until after the festival ends at 8pm.
We will need people to maintain the carnival games, a team on each shift to look over and provide assistance to vendors and artists, as well as a crew to run the stage and the events which will be taking place on it. We will probably also require other people as a general "we need people to fix this/move this/talk to those people, get on it" crew. Note that we are doing this in shifts of about three or four hours to avoid fatigue, so, just to make things clear, if you volunteer
you will not be missing the entire festival.
That being said, feel free to post your available times on the day of the festival and what relevant special skills you might have on the thread.
NOTE: ARCers are not REQUIRED to volunteer, don't think you
have to work to show up for the festival. That being said, volunteers will be given edible compensation.
