What should I LP next?

So now that the X-Com thread has run it's course, I was wondering what I should do next?

Perhaps a Metroid title (Probably Zero Mission, Super, or Fusion)? (Probably Video, might have co-commentators)

Focus on my Nuzlocke Run? (In Progress)

A Civ 4 Mod? (I'm pretty bad at Civ, so...) (Screens)

Civ 4 Colonization (Smallpox for everyone!) (Screens)

Go Super Hack Modo on a (Modded) Mount and Blade: Warband? That is, let Paul show off where you start and working your way up, while I go be King Of The Vikings or something equally nice. (Video)

Seriously, if I hear a Ridley voice in your Metroid videos, I'm gonna kill you. No joke, knife to throat. That joke is so bad the first time, the second time, and if you do it, it's officially dead.

Fuck Other M. I hear it's shit, I don't have a Wii, and I have no inclination to pickup Dolphin and a controller.

Also, the only time you may ever hear a Ridley Voice is when I fight Ridley. Even then, probably not. Slowbeef did that to death.

 Anyways, I'm pretty sure metriod games are literally the worst thing to LP, just due to the sheer length and lack of content.

Yeah, no. Do games with interactivity, just so it's not boring as balls. Again, your strength is in writing, so get a game where the story is important, and the characters are very open to design.

No, don't do dragon age, or mass effect.

Sheer length? That's only if you go for a 100% run. I'd just be doing it as a sort of "Hey, wanna play Metroid?" thing. Not a "Let's collect every single item ever in the entire game" thing. If I did, I'd make liberal use of jumpcuts just to show off where an item is and some sort of crazy shinesparking way to get it.

I definitely would not do a video titled "Let's collect missile tanks!", because I hate those and I'm pretty sure everyone else does too.

Without a gimmick, metriod LPs are REALLY boring. Why do I need to watch you do the same thing for 5 minutes on a giant spider, or Ridley(no really, who the fuck is Slowbeef?), just to clusterfuck your way thru the game. Metriod is about exploration, and without going to every nip pick area, it's just a game that makes you get lost really easily.

Slowbeef is someone on the something awful forums who does LPs. I tend to see his name pop up alot when metroid LPs are involved, or castlevania.

Thats about all you need to know really.

And I still say metroid....something.

True enough. Civ 4 Col or Civ 4 BtS Mods might make a good SSLP, but I want to try a VLP.

Are they? Or possibly you just don't like them. Personally, I find them interesting. There's always the option of not watching.

Sorry, but I'm actually pretty damned good at Metroid. I'm no "speedrun, 5% items, 22 minutes" person, but I'm not about to go "Oh god where the fuck am I how do I get out of here ahhhh" and derp around for half a video. If I was one to backtrack to collect obscure items (I'm not really), I'd show where I am on the main map, then cut to me doing the stuff to get the item. No "Herp derp let's travel back to Brinstar for 10 minutes to pick up a missile tank".

Metroid is indeed about exploration (Except Metroid Fusion). But there's exploration, then there's herp derp let's go that way, then there's getting lost.

I trust myself to get it right, and I trust that I could find someone to commentate with who would help to make it interesting. Maybe Ilya, since he has no idea what Metroid is (and would serve as a voice for the "What is this I don't even" crowd), or Paul or Javier or Chapman for a "Two buddies play metroid together" feel. I'm a bit concerned that I'd sperg on and on about the game itself or some inane and boring thing, but I trust that whoever commentates with me would rein me in.
