How about Kogepan? It's a short series about a burnt bread. I haven't watched it yet, so can't tell more. There are 10 episodes, 4 minutes each.

In that case, the first battle arc of Legend of Galactic Heroes might work.

Okay, I have our first weekly screening all planned out - we'll be showing the first 3 episodes of Fist of the North Star (or Hokuto no Ken depending on how you roll) followed by Black Dynamite. I expect that we'll finish at around 7:30PM. We may go out for dinner afterwards but that depends on how many people are interested.

Unfortunately we weren't able to secure the room for tomorrow, so our first weekly screening will be delayed to May 19.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, weekly screenings have been canceled until further notice.

Spoiler for ???:
We've kind of been screwed over by SFSS bookings and there's a lot of technical stuff going on. It's really unfortunate.

Stay tuned for further details on when weekly screenings will resume.

Pity, we should still do dinner or something, to fill up the gaping void in my Thursday schedule.

We just got word from SFSS, and it looks like we've successfully booked WMC 3510 for Thursdays from 4:30PM to 8:30PM (although we'll most likely finish by 7:30PM anyways).

However weeklies won't start until next Thursday, May 26. You two will have to find some other way to waste your Thursday evenings, sorry!  Frankly I'd like to go out for dinner or something but I made other plans.

I haven't looked at WMC 3510 myself but from what I heard it's a decent-sized lecture room that will be good for screenings. At least it's not a small meeting room in Blusson!

Just as a heads up, we probably won't be going with that Fist of the North Star / Black Dynamite line-up as planned, since we'll be getting a new screenings director before the start of weeklies. HOPEFULLY.

Anyways the director will have to plan out what the weeklies line-up will be for the semester. Unless you guys really want to watch FotNS or Black Dynamite, but it is ultimately up to the director's discretion. Maybe those two can be saved for special screenings in the future, I don't know.

I was hoping to see Fist of the North Star since I've never actually, well, seen it before. But whatever the new screening director plans I guess Tongue

I've never seen Fist of the North Star before either, except for a few clips on YouTube. All I know about it is that it has this guy who looks and sounds like Bruce Lee, and he makes people's heads explode by touching them.

See for yourself:

Hokuto no Ken - Hokuto Zankai Ken!

As for the screenings director, ideally he or she will choose to show a few episodes of a series (preferably no longer than 26 episodes otherwise we may not be able to finish it) for the first half of weeklies and then show something else for the second half. Or the other way around, but again it's up to the director.

HnK Kenshiro vs Kiba Daio

This is the highlight of the series. 2:52-2:55, Kenshiro beats a furry with a steel pipe like he's swatting flies. It's literally the best WTF? moment I remember, cause it looks so ridiculous.
