Below are the minutes.

= ARC General Meeting Commence: 16:30 =
We started off the meeting with introductions. Attendance was ~ 20, with Alex, Mike, and Eric as present executives.

Results of by-elections:
Mike L. is now President
Sam K. is now Vice President (Internal)
Paul W. is now Communications Officer

Membership Cards
Future cards will be redesigned to have a variable expiration date.
Leah and/or Chichi will contact core games/sakura media

There is a group of students from SFU Surrey looking for 4 participants for a project to better understand our club's social activities. They'll be posting some more info on the forums.

Screenings Director
This position is responsible for putting together a weekly screenings schedule and running the screenings.
Zach P. has been appointed Screenings Director.

Concessions
Nobody at the meeting was able to run this, but we can ask at the icebreaker too.
If there isn't enough interest we can stop concessions for the semester and revisit them in the fall.

Facebook Page
The ARC Facebook group has to be migrated to a Page. Please 'like' it to recieve notifications about club events: http://www.facebook.com/sfuarc
Also please note that we can't automatically invite everyone to events anymore with a Page. Events should show up in your News Feed, however!

Activities for the semester:
   Icebreaker Party on Tuesday!
Perhaps we could continue with Karaoke / Laser Tag / Bowling
   Other suggestions include:
A trip to the beach; Spanish Banks / English Bay / White Pine Beach
      Water Balloon Capture the Flag
Everyone gets some water balloons from the dollar store, brings them and fills them, then we CTF
Maybe in AQ courtyard or the field
considerations: summer camps may be using these spaces, we need to avoid conflict.
      Paintball
      Indoor Rock Climbing
Alex has some sort of deal for this if people are interested
      Pitch and Putt
      ARC Nerf gun fight

Gaming
There are 2-3 tabletop games running this semester. Sign up on the forums if you're interested. The player list fills up fast. If you're unable to make it to any of these, Jon will also be running a game on the forums.
Zach is recruiting people for Warhammer 40k / Dark Heresy.

Nobody was interested in being a director for Magic, so this falls under Jon as Gaming Director.

What.
What!?
WHAT.
WHAT!?

Wut.

I guess
Congratulations!
Are in order. And I'd like to pre-emptively say to Paul, please don't ban me I didn't mean it.

And to Mike, all hail the Overmike.

Surprised that we still don't have a Director Of Magick, but ah well.

And as a closing note, As Director of Fail, I fully support the notion of an ARC Beach Trip. Every anime worth a damn has a beach episode, and I see no reason for SFU: ARC not to have one. I mean, we're not some two-bit fanime are we? Gotta have the beach episode.

Who are you kidding, you'd love it if that happened. I know I would. I mean we'd have to mobilize SFU and fight the mecha in a battle spanning Vancouver. Calling it now, it ends with The Sea Serpent Mecha impaled upon Harbor Centre with the rest of Vancouver in various stages of ruinous destruction.

A) Mike: Really, do we NEED a separate guy in charge of Magic. I know a lot of people are playing, but really, just let them handle it themselves. Having a pubic event is good, but don't we already have a council of jerks that do that? Better it them handle it by themselves, I'd say.

B) Cameron: Bitch, you got nothing on the king here. I'm the king of fails, trolls, bad jokes, and the reigning ARC fat lucha champion (2 reign, 43 days). But a beach trip sounds nice, only to have a lot of people can't make it due to general laziness/out of shape.

C) Juan: Giant mechas don't scare me. Tormorrow scares me. I still don't have a rapture buddy, help.

Pfft. I'll let the general ARC populace decide. Let's not forget what our avatars are/have been.

*Hugs Vincent from behind* I'll be your rapture buddy... *caress*

IF white pine, there should be buses running.
If everyone promises to be nice, I'll bring some of my not-so-nerdy friends in bikinis (they are tons of fun to talk to/be around).

Hey everyone! Zach P. here!

Gonna post shortly about the Dark Heresy game in the gaming forum, already have 3 people interested and a tentative time to run it!

Also, as new Screenings Director, I will first apologize as I have never BEEN to a screening with the ARC, and can't seem to find where on the forum I go to uh, deal with that stuff! So if someone would like to be a helpful gentlefolk, I can definitely see a our social link ranking up soon! (warning, I think I might be a Hierophant, just don't want you to be stuck with doubles).

I'd suggest posting a thread in the Anime/Manga section of the forums about screenings.
